Dean Bob Guy Maehrlein When I listen to Heavy Lunch it feels as though I'm in the movie Top Gun, and I am the TOP GUN. When the song really hits it after the 2nd chorus I imagine that I save Goose's (Geese?) life and am even more of a TOP GUN. With my wing-man alive by my side, we are unstoppable.
Side note watch the drummer play it live, he hits the bottom of his cymbal every time. Fucking Hilarious. Favorite track: Heavy Lunch.

Confound yourself Confound yourself with wonder Confound yourself with what is happening Is it a fact? Isn't a fact more intriguing? Isn't a fact gonna remain unchanged? Out then in Guilty by appropriation Out then in Guilty by approximation You were not born You were not born in the wrong era You were not born as funny as you think you are Didn't you realize? Didn't you realize yourself? The moment you realized. The moment you realized others? Out then in Beds are for bedlam Out then in Rooms are for rumination We are getting in the way We are getting in the way of ourselves

Mountains 03:21
Chocolate eyes and green thumbs Remembering a blank day Creative culture, alone together Everybody will misspell our names You told me the mountains were our beacons Do we ever set parameters for the weekend? Bad lies and worse luck Feeling noises in our hair Cite the presses, take your dope boy You'll fight anybody to get this Phone booth and promethazine You made me laugh with ice cream The party's over, small talk's done We live just right down the street
4.
Death Waltz 01:45
The third eye is a sordid eye You are freaking out and so am I Let's turn our heads to brown whiskey Felled like a tree, born recycled Turn horizontal into vertical String together all attractive sounds I'm sorry for the old times and all the wasted lines Tomorrow will be old times anew The power goes out in my room The lights are off but someone's home Yet the dryer keeps on humming humming I think it's gotta be a death waltz Or this feeling is completely false We were born of earth's torments

You thought you were the same but you're not.

Heavy Lunch 03:31
Heavy lunch is a travesty It speaks to me such sweet little mutterings: "Where are you going? Haven't you got there yet?" Rough carving on the bathroom stall stinks of alcohol poured tall to breed a call: "Where have you been? Why are you leaving?" "I don't really know. I don't really know. I don't really know you anymore." Sing me a dirge! Fist pounding on the window pane It sends my brain into rhapsodies insane: "What is the date today? When do I have work?" Stuttering to all my friends I contend a distended view on how this ends: "Where are you going? Haven't you got there yet?" "I don't really know. I don't really know. I don't really know me anymore." Sing me a dirge!

Nothing speaking but the wisdom that we found each other in Nothing blinking but the analog clock alarming off your skin My thoughts combed Nothing's shown up for years Nothing speaking but the wisdom that we found each other in All the impressed patterns on your leg from the chair you've been sitting in My thoughts combed Nothing's shown up for years Nothing speaking

Take a look for yourself and see that that bed was made once Recycled rhythms in the practice space Does it compromise your fun? Infinitesimals Do you staple up your arm a bunch when you're feeling real bored? Would you cancel dad's credit card on new year's in the cold? Infinitesimals Time is one long year I'll have another beer So I can forget the whole damn scope of the universe Infinitesimals

Idiot Waster 03:13
Are you afraid to walk home at night? Have you ever had the sleep plucked from your eyes? A sputter street car is not what I are They ogle up and down your legs Everybody's sucking at the same old dregs No radiance, no sign of life You can hitch a ride with an idiot waster Bullet-hole stickers on the side of his blazer Hop on in for the last time Try to single out evil will Looking for an egg in a glass of milk He sliced a throat and left a nice note Are you afraid to walk home at night? Have you ever had the sleep plucked from your eyes? A sputter street car is not what I are

Eight 02:57
If time is an eight on its side, are you suggesting it's even? If the world's so great then you die Tell me, what could be the reason? We're rotting out from the inside What's the point of a good lie? I knew there would come a time for a bit of delusion Messed up, worn-deep, out of line Gotta find my solution Don't bury me Dig me up

Urn 04:54
Seen you walking around Seen your head made of stone Separated by windows I've got nowhere to go Still got a few friends Some of them stick around I don't know where they've been because My head's stuck in the ground Sometimes all I hear is the blood inside of my own head It's a new dawn Swallows everyone Situational occupants and Hypothetical fun Seen you walking around Seen your head made of stone Separated by windows I've got nowhere to go
